Are my party people in the house? That's odd. I don't know any party people, and I don't own a house.
This week I will be appearing at the South by Southwest Music Festival (SXSW) in Austin, Texas. On Thursday, March 19, I will be hosting the Quackmedia/Found Magazine party. On Friday, March 20, and Saturday, March 21, I will be performing (as well as appearing) with other comedians at the Velveeta Room and Esther's Follies. What am I, a hoofer?
On Saturday, March 28, I will be comedyizing at a fund raiser for the Los Angeles Jewish Home for the Aging.
What else am I up to, you don't ask? I am scheduled to appear (and perform) on the Late Show with David Letterman on Wednesday, April 1. Don't hold me to that, but please hold me. I am busily working on my April Fool's jokes. So far I have none.
Love,
Andy Kindler
Your Letterman appearances are the best! I've noticed every time you hit an especially pungent punchline you look over at someone in Paul's direction. What's up with that? Also, who picked the Rolling Stones theme for your entrance? Are you Jack Flash, or just jumpy?

Paul Shaffer picked that song for me. In comedy clubs I walk out to "Send In The Clowns." I made that up. Not the song. It's an actual song. Just like that tune where someone left the cake out in the rain.

Judy Collins is not as talented an actress as Richard Harris was an actor but I think you picked well with musical compositions. You have my blessing. (I know you've been waiting for it)
Did you ever see the SCTV episode where Dave Thomas played Richard Harris singing MacArthur Park and midway through the song someone hit him in the stomach with a brick because it was way too long? Juvenile stuff, but that show was a classic- especially Eugene Levy's Bobby Bitman character.

Andy, your Letterman appearance on 4/1 was a hoot. Loved the Yankee bit and let me say you are one intimidating heckler! Dude, your job is almost as cool as mine!
