Hooray! It's morning in America. For real this time. When Ronald Reagan said it, he was only kidding.
Celebrate the election of Mr. Barack Obama this weekend by driving to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to catch my appearances at Penguin's Comedy Club.
Later this month I will be in Washington DC to play the Drafthouse circuit. It's like the Catskills at a Drafthouse! I don't know what I'm talking about.
If none of these dates work, I strongly encourage you to be a part of my triumphant return (without appendix) to Comix in Manhattan, New York. When I say "be a part of" I mean buy tickets, drink, eat, and tip me after the show.
That is all for now. Check back at andykindler.com for updates and special offers, and be bitterly disappointed by the absence of both.
Love,
Andy Kindler
I don't have a car. And if I did, it would be in the shop.

re: the Comix show, I'm thinking of getting the three course prix fixe, but I'm wondering, is the Pumpkin Ravioli vegetarian? Also, what's the House Red?
Posted by: Kurt | November 11, 2008 at 05:04 PM
The pumpkin ravioli is prepared with a veal reduction. The House Red is Trotsky.

Your act better be good if I'd have to endure pumpkin ravioli with Trotsky. Would it kill you to book a show at Daniel?
Any meal where Trotsky is served tends to give me the well...dysentery. (You thought it was going to be that old Russian joke didn't you?)

Yes Andy, I had to go home Sat. night from Penguins in CR and look it up because I couldn't remember exactly either. Norman Greenbaum was in a band called Dr. West's Medicine Show and Junk Band and they sang "The Eggplant that ate Chicago". Thanks for the autograph on my N. Greenbaum CD. Our group had a lot of fun that night. We really enjoyed the show. What are the odds somebody actually knew who Norman Greenbaum was? My kids said, "Mom, you're a dork."

Al Franken voted the winner by the Minnesota State Canvassing Board! Some in Minnesota can't believe a comedian won the senate seat. I say put more comedians in the senate seat! (Except Dane Cook)

Andy (or David),
C'mon- its January and you're still in YESvember. Either keep up with your blog posts or don't. Obviously you've chosen the latter and hey- it's your option.Do you like how I went from having a strong point to start with then went completely milktoast at the end? I may have a future as a superviser with the State of California!

I didn't realize how much activity was happening in this area. I wish I was paid per comment. Or paid at all. Maybe I should get a real job before they disappear.

Starting a blog post is like parenting, if you don't keep up then it gets way out of control and you have to take off your belt and teach these responders a thing or two.
