Dear Friends:
Thank you all for signing my petition pleading with the federal government to change Rocktober to Reggaetober. Because of your efforts, we made a difference. What’s more important? Fighting global warming, or changing monikers? The question is both rhetorical and confusing. We must apply the same discipline and drive to changing the name of November to Bossanovember. Won’t you help? Lets do something. If you are at all nervous about Iran and their nuclear thingy, and take whatever George W. Bush says at face value, get behind Bossanovember. If you were unaware that there is a World Series even when you are watching the World Series, and enjoy hearing Dane Cook say the name Manny Ramirez, then join me, won’t you? For just pennies a day you can buy a package of mints after a few days.
My new operating system is complete and available only to Andy Kindler Fan Klub members. Whether you operate Windows, or prefer the Stairs, Andy Kindler 10.5.555 is right for you. Sign up now and get twenty percent off.
Today’s viewer poll question. Are you outraged? The answer to yesterday’s quiz question was yes.
Love,
Andy Kindler
Your post caused me to watch the Dane Cook ads on YouTube, purely for sociological analysis. In the video entitled "LOVE this man and LOVE baseball!" he appears to be having some difficulty controlling his neck. Also, it seems he has borrowed some of his mannerisms from Celine Dion.
His Wikipedia entry says "Cook uses slang vocabulary to match his talkative manner. For example...a sandwich is a 'sangwich.'" He apparently believes he has freed the world from the oppressiveness of words, saying "they're just words, they don't control us...not anymore."

Great analysis. I will be watching the World Series tonight, mostly because Dane Cook got me excited about it. I will look for his neckerisms and Celine Dion mannerisms. Even Celine Dion is funnier than Dane Cook.

Hey Andy! Saw you at the Improv in LA a couple months ago--you were hilarious. Thanks for taking a picture with me after the show--very cool of you.
Love the Jackie Mason impression. Have you ever seen Jackie Mason's commentary peices that he puts up on youtube? Here's one about health and fitness.

It's Jackie Mason on a treadmill. Need I say more?

Andy, you are my favorite contemporary comedian, Richard Pryor being dead and George Carlin--actually George Carlin has always been over-rated. At any rate, I've been watching Letterman since he began and this routine you did here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3W9dDSc84Q
is one of the funniest I've every seen on his show.
P.S. When are you coming to Austin?

Andy, I'm going to take up your blog space to talk to Justin- That Jackie Mason routine killed me! Andy, you do Mason? I knew you were a class act- now Mason is funny! I mean you're funny, but Mason, well...I mean, you're both funny...two people can be as funny as each other or someone else can't they?
Can't you have all kinds of people just as funny on one side and then on the other side all kinds of people like Dane Cook who are not funny- that would balance things out right? But then you would need a few more not funny people on the other side because funny people's material would get stolen and dragged to the not funny side....
...excuse me I need a bag, I'm heyperventilating...
